Community Guidelines

Just a few things to know before you get started…

What’s expected:

Kindness

Be polite and respectful towards all members. We’re humans - we don’t always like each other or appreciate each others’ artistic expressions, but remember the Golden Rule within the group and support each others’ creative goals no matter what. The creative journey is a competition with ourselves first and foremost - to be better than we used to be.

Participation

Life happens, and we all need to miss coworking sessions for various reasons. To make the most out of this membership, and for the group to work as a whole, we encourage you to show up on Zoom and Discord for livestream sessions as often as you’re able! Please post your monthly and weekly goals in the Discord channels.

Authenticity

We want everyone to be true to their own unique self, style and work. Vulnerability, authenticity and truth-speaking are encouraged.

Supporting the Community

We encourage members to comment on at least one other person’s post before posting their own updates. Show your support and encouragement for others’ progress. Reach out to other members for coworking drop-ins or one-to-one accountability partnerships.

What’s not allowed:

Harassment & Rudeness

Any harassment, verbal abuse, or obvious rudeness towards other members in the group won’t be tolerated. Any post that is violent, sexual, or otherwise inappropriate will be deleted. Anyone who receives an offensive private message should report it to an admin.

Advertising & Spam

We celebrate our members’ wins and welcome their announcements. However, excessive posting of promotional material - such as encouraging other members to buy a product - is not allowed.

Divisive Discussions

While we believe whole-heartedly in free speech and the necessity of debate, CCC is not the right platform for discussions of a political or otherwise divisive nature. Please keep the conversations centered around creativity, positive habits, mindset, and personal growth!

Unsolicited Advice or Criticism

Critiques can be requested in a separate channel on our Discord server. If someone has not requested feedback in a call or in the chat, please refrain from offering any advice. Please focus on “I” statements to avoid telling others what to do. This group focuses on promoting positive creative habits for people of all skill levels and mediums - it is not an art school environment. A resource list is available if you should you need it.
